The third day of this family trip in Ubud was a wonderful opportunity to explore the beauty, culture, and traditions of Bali. The family of four traveled with Bali Tour Drivers and visited several popular destinations around Tegallalang and Tampaksiring.

The day started at around 8:30 AM. Before visiting the first attraction, the family stopped for breakfast at Tis Cafe in the Tegallalang area. After breakfast, the journey continued to Tegallalang Rice Terrace, Gunung Kawi Tampaksiring, and Tirta Empul Temple.

After visiting the temples, the family enjoyed lunch at The Amertha Restaurant in Tampaksiring before returning to Villa Indayani. In the afternoon, they continued their trip to Ubud Central for dinner. The full day ended at approximately 9:00 PM.

This itinerary was a great combination of Bali’s natural scenery, ancient heritage, local culture, food, and the relaxed atmosphere of Ubud.

Starting the Day with Breakfast at Tis Cafe

The journey started at approximately 8:30 AM from the family’s villa. Since they wanted to have breakfast before beginning the sightseeing activities, we first headed to Tis Cafe in Tegallalang.

A Relaxed Start Before Exploring Bali

Having breakfast before starting a full-day tour is especially helpful when traveling with a family. It allowed everyone to enjoy a relaxed morning before continuing to the first sightseeing destination.

After breakfast, we continued our private Bali tour toward Tegallalang Rice Terrace.

Visiting Tegallalang Rice Terrace

Our first sightseeing stop was Tegallalang Rice Terrace, one of the most well-known rice terrace areas near Ubud.

Enjoying the Beautiful Rice Terrace Landscape

Tegallalang is famous for its beautiful green rice fields and traditional Balinese agricultural landscape. The family had time to enjoy the scenery, walk around, and take photos.

For visitors staying in Ubud, Tegallalang is also convenient to combine with several cultural attractions in the Tampaksiring area.

After enjoying the rice terraces, we continued the journey toward Gunung Kawi Tampaksiring.

Exploring Gunung Kawi Tampaksiring

The next destination was Gunung Kawi Tampaksiring, an important historical and cultural site in Bali.

Discovering Bali’s Ancient Heritage

Gunung Kawi is known for its impressive rock-cut shrines carved into the cliffs. Surrounded by greenery and a peaceful natural environment, the site offers a different experience from the rice terraces.

Visitors should be prepared for stairs when exploring the complex. Comfortable footwear is recommended, especially for families who plan to spend time walking around the site.

For this family of four, we took the visit at a comfortable pace so everyone could enjoy the surroundings without feeling rushed.

Visiting Tirta Empul Temple

After Gunung Kawi, we continued to Tirta Empul Temple, another famous cultural destination in Tampaksiring.

Experiencing Balinese Culture and Tradition

Tirta Empul is famous for its sacred natural spring and traditional purification rituals. The temple is an important cultural and spiritual destination for Balinese Hindus.

For international visitors, visiting Tirta Empul can be a meaningful opportunity to learn more about Balinese traditions and local culture.

Visitors should wear appropriate clothing and respect the temple rules and local customs while exploring the area.

The family enjoyed discovering the temple and experiencing a different side of Bali beyond its beaches and natural attractions.

Lunch at The Amertha Restaurant in Tampaksiring

After visiting Tirta Empul, it was time for lunch. The family stopped at The Amertha Restaurant in Tampaksiring.

Taking a Break After Sightseeing

After visiting several destinations and walking around the temples, lunch provided a perfect opportunity to relax and recharge.

Choosing a restaurant in the Tampaksiring area also made the itinerary more efficient because it allowed the family to enjoy lunch without making a long detour back to Ubud.

Once lunch was finished, we continued the journey back to Villa Indayani.

Returning to Villa Indayani for a Break

After lunch, the family returned to Villa Indayani to rest.

Flexible Private Tour Schedule

One of the benefits of traveling with a private driver is having a flexible schedule. Families can take a break after sightseeing instead of having to follow a fixed group-tour timetable.

After some time at the villa, the family was ready to continue their Ubud experience in the afternoon.

Afternoon Trip to Ubud Central

Later in the afternoon, we headed back to Ubud Central.

Enjoying the Atmosphere of Central Ubud

Ubud Central has a different atmosphere from the peaceful rice terraces and temples visited earlier in the day.

The family had time to enjoy the area and experience the lively atmosphere of Ubud before having dinner.

Ubud is well known for its art, culture, restaurants, traditional atmosphere, and beautiful surroundings, making it one of the most popular areas for travelers visiting Bali.

Dinner in Ubud and Finishing the Day

The family finished their third day with dinner in Ubud Central.

A Full Day of Bali Experiences

From breakfast in the morning until dinner at night, the family experienced many different sides of Bali.

Their itinerary included:

  • Breakfast at Tis Cafe
  • Tegallalang Rice Terrace
  • Gunung Kawi Tampaksiring
  • Tirta Empul Temple
  • Lunch at The Amertha Restaurant
  • Rest at Villa Indayani
  • Afternoon visit to Ubud Central
  • Dinner in Ubud

The trip finally finished at approximately 9:00 PM.
