Book on balitourdrivers.com it is an ideal choice for travelers who want to experience the authentic side of Bali in a single day, well- organized day.
At Gunung Kawi, the walk down the stone steps into the valley always makes a strong first impression, and our guests were no exception — they paused several times just to take in the scale of the rock-cut shrines against the cliff face before reaching the bottom. Coming back up the same steps in the midday warmth is usually the part guests underestimate, so we made sure to build in a slower pace and a water break at the base before starting the climb back.
At Tirta Empul, our guests chose to observe rather than take part in the purification ritual themselves, which is just as common as joining in. We explained the order in which the pools are traditionally used and which areas are reserved strictly for prayer rather than bathing, so they could appreciate what they were watching rather than just taking photos from the edge.
The short trek at Tegalalang gave our guests their first proper look at Bali’s terraced rice farming up close, including the bamboo irrigation channels that carry water between the different levels of the fields. By the time we dropped them at the start of Campuhan Ridge Walk in the early afternoon, the sky had cleared nicely, and they later told us the walk back to Alas Green Lagoon along the ridge, with the hills glowing in the afternoon light, was one of the most peaceful moments of their whole trip.
