Bali offers much more than beautiful beaches and famous temples. One of the most enjoyable experiences for visitors is Discovering local culture, traditional craftsmanship, and hidden coastal gems. Our this tour, I accompanied a lovely couple from France staying at Natural View House Sidemen for a full- day journey through East Bali.

Our first destination was a local silver workshop where the couple had booked a silver-making experience.

Silver Jewelry Making Experience at Pande Silver Sidemen

Learning the Traditional Art of Balinese Silver Crafting

After a short 20- minute drive, we arrived at Pande Silver Sidemen at 9:20 AM.

The couple was excited to create their own custom rings. During the workshop, they learned every step of the silver-making process, from preparing the raw silver material to shaping, engravil, polishing, and finishing the final design.

Creating Personalized Rings

One of the most memorable parts of the experience was seeing their personal designs come to life. The instructors guided them patiently throughout the process, allowing them to create unique rings that reflected their own style and memories of Bali.

The workshop lasted around 2 hours, and by 11:30 AM they proudly completed their handmade Silver rings.

Journey to Tirta Gangga Water Palace

After finishing the silver class, we continued our journey to Tirta Gangga, one of East Bali’s most beautiful cultural landmarks.

The scenic drive passed through traditional villages, rice fields, and lush landscapes that showcased the peaceful atmosphere of Karangasem Regency.

Exploring Tirta Gangga

Feeding the Fish Before Entering the Garden

Before entering Tirta Gangga, I prepared fish food for the guests to they could enjoy feeding the colorful koi fish that live in the ponds around the water palace.

This simple activity quickly became one of their favorite moments. Hundreds of fish gathered near the surface, creating a fun and interactive experience.

Enjoying the Beauty of Bali’s Royal Water Palace

The couple spent their time to exploring the gardens, stone pathways, fountains, and pools that make Tirta Gangga famous among travelers and photographers.

They enjoyed taking photos while walking across the iconic stepping stones surrounded by crystal- clear water and colorful fish.

We stayed at Tirta Gangga from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM.

Afternoon Relaxation at Virgin Beach (White Sand)

A Scenic Coastal Escape

After leaving Tirta Gangga, we drove for around 30 minutes to Virgin Beach, one of Bali’s most beautiful hidden beaches.

Known for its soft white sand, clear water, and peaceful atmosphere, Virgin Beach is a perfect destination for travelers seeking a quieter alternative to Bali’s busier beaches.

Two Hours of Beach Time

The French couple immediately fell in love with the beach. They spent nearly 2 hours relaxing be the ocean, enjoying the fresh sea breeze, walking along the shorline, and taking photographs.
