A Relaxing East Bali Tour with Two Guests from France
At Bali Tour Drivers, every journey is designed around our guests’ interests and travel schedule. This private Bali tour was enjoyed by a lovely couple from France who stayed at Tropical Habitat Amed. Instead of starting early in the morning, they preferred to begin the trip at 11:30 AM because they wanted to watch the French national team’s World Cup match before exploring East Bali.
As a private driver in Bali, we always provide flexible itineraries that suit our guests’ preferences. This is one of the advantages of booking a Private Bali Tour, where travelers can enjoy the island at their own pace without following a fixed group schedule.
Comfortable Departure from Tropical Habitat Amed
Our journey started at 11:30 AM from Tropical Habitat Amed. Before leaving, we confirmed the itinerary together to ensure everything matched the guests’ wishes.
The destinations for the day included:
- Lempuyang Temple
- Jemeluk Beach
- Lipah Beach
Although the tour started later than usual, the weather was pleasant, making it an ideal afternoon to explore the eastern part of Bali.
Driving through the scenic roads of Karangasem, the guests enjoyed beautiful mountain landscapes, traditional villages, and views of Mount Agung along the way.
Visiting the Famous Lempuyang Temple
One Hour Drive to the Parking Area
After approximately one hour of driving, we arrived at the parking area of Lempuyang Temple.
Since private vehicles are not allowed to continue to the temple entrance, all visitors must use the official shuttle bus.
The shuttle ride takes around five minutes from the parking area to Pura Penataran Agung Lempuyang, the most famous section of the temple complex.
This location is internationally known because of the iconic Gate of Heaven, one of the most photographed places in Bali and frequently seen on Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms.
Assisting Guests with Entrance Tickets and Traditional Balinese Dress
As part of our service at Bali Tour Drivers, I assisted our French guests throughout the arrival process.
This included:
- Helping them purchase the entrance tickets.
- Assisting them with wearing the traditional Balinese sarong and sash (kamen).
- Explaining the temple etiquette and local customs before entering the sacred area.
Providing this kind of assistance helps guests feel comfortable while respecting Balinese traditions.
This reflects our commitment to delivering not only transportation but also a genuine local experience.
Enjoying the Temple without Waiting for the Gate of Heaven Queue
Many visitors come to Lempuyang Temple specifically to take the famous “Gate of Heaven” photo.
However, our guests chose a different experience.
Instead of joining the long queue for the iconic photo, they preferred to explore the surrounding temple area and take pictures from the beautiful side viewpoints.
This allowed them to appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, admire the traditional Balinese architecture, and enjoy the stunning mountain scenery without spending several hours waiting.
Sometimes the best travel memories come from enjoying the place itself rather than following the most popular photo spots.
Snorkeling at Jemeluk Beach
A Relaxing Afternoon by the Sea
After finishing our visit to Lempuyang Temple, we returned to the parking area using the shuttle bus and continued our journey to Jemeluk Beach.
Jemeluk Beach is one of the most popular snorkeling locations in Amed because of its calm water, colorful coral reefs, and excellent underwater visibility.
Unlike many visitors who book snorkeling boats, our guests had already brought their own snorkeling equipment.
They entered the water directly from the shoreline and enjoyed snorkeling independently without needing a boat.
The calm sea conditions made the experience both relaxing and enjoyable.
This beach is perfect for travelers who prefer an easy snorkeling experience while staying close to the shore.
Continuing to Lipah Beach to Look for Sea Turtles
Exploring Another Beautiful Snorkeling Spot
Our final destination was Lipah Beach, another beautiful beach in the Amed area.
The guests wanted to visit Lipah Beach because it is well known for its healthy coral reef and the possibility of seeing sea turtles in their natural habitat.
After spending some time enjoying the beach and exploring the underwater area, they continued relaxing while appreciating the peaceful atmosphere of East Bali.
Lipah Beach offers a quieter environment compared to many other beaches in Bali, making it an excellent destination for nature lovers and snorkeling enthusiasts.
Returning to Tropical Habitat Amed
At approximately 4:30 PM, our private tour came to an end as we safely returned the guests to Tropical Habitat Amed.
Although the tour lasted only half a day, it included a wonderful combination of culture, photography, beautiful scenery, and marine activities.
The flexibility of the itinerary allowed the guests to enjoy their morning watching their favorite football team before discovering some of East Bali’s most beautiful attractions during the afternoon.
This is exactly what a Private Bali Tour should be—comfortable, personalized, and tailored to each traveler’s interests.
