We collected our guests from Kubu Pratiwi Villa a little after nine, and the drive out toward Tabanan gave everyone a chance to see a side of Bali that’s easy to miss when staying closer to the beach clubs of Canggu — quiet backroads lined with family compounds and small roadside shrines. By the time we reached Nuanu, our guests admitted they weren’t quite sure what to expect from a “creative city,” and left saying it was one of the more unusual stops they’d added to their Bali trip.
Inside Nuanu, we let our guests wander at their own pace rather than rushing them between installations, since the site rewards a slower visit — many of the details in the architecture and art pieces are easy to miss if you’re moving quickly. Lunch afterward at Kurnia Village Resto gave everyone a chance to sit down and compare notes on their favorite parts of the morning over a relaxed Indian meal.
We timed the drive to Tanah Lot so that we arrived with enough daylight left to walk around the site before the crowd thickened for sunset. As the light began to change color over the water, our guests found a spot slightly back from the main viewing area, close enough to see the temple silhouette clearly but without competing for space with the biggest crowd right at the railing — a small adjustment that made the last stop of the day feel far less rushed.
This is exactly the kind of experience we build private trips around. Explore our Tanah Lot destination guide, or send us a message to get started.
