A memorable Bali holiday becomes even more enjoyable when you can explore the island comfortably with a trusted local private driver. Recently, I, Komang from Bali Tour Drivers, had the pleasure of becoming the private driver for a family of four from Paris, France.
The family consisted of a husband and wife, one daughter, and one son. They spent around 12 days exploring different parts of Bali, from Ubud and Munduk to Lovina, Amed, Nusa Lembongan, and Sanur.
Throughout their holiday, I helped provide private transportation between their accommodations, ports, and the airport. Having one driver throughout their journey made their multi-destination Bali holiday more comfortable, organized, and convenient.
This is the story of their Bali journey and how I accompanied them from their arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport until their departure back to Paris.
Picking Up the Family at Ngurah Rai International Airport
The family’s Bali adventure started when I picked them up at Ngurah Rai International Airport at around 3:00 PM.
They arrived in Bali from Paris and were traveling as a family of four. After meeting them at the international arrival area, I helped with their luggage and welcomed them to Bali.
From the airport, I drove the family directly toward their first accommodation in the Ubud area.
Their first destination was Villa Indayani in Tampaksiring, where they stayed for three nights.
After a long international journey, having a private airport transfer allowed the family to travel directly to their villa without having to arrange another vehicle or wait for other passengers.
Three Nights in Ubud and Tampaksiring
The first part of the family’s Bali holiday was spent in the Ubud and Tampaksiring area.
They stayed at Villa Indayani Tampaksiring for three nights, giving them time to rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of central Bali.
Ubud and Tampaksiring are ideal areas for travelers who want to experience a combination of Balinese culture, nature, traditional villages, temples, rice fields, and local life.
As their private driver, I helped the family with their daily transportation and made sure they could travel comfortably between their accommodation and the places they wanted to visit.

After spending three nights in Ubud, it was time for the family to continue their journey toward Munduk in North Bali.
I drove them from Ubud to their next accommodation, Adila Homestay, where they stayed for two nights.
Munduk offers a completely different atmosphere from Ubud. The area is surrounded by mountains, forests, plantations, waterfalls, and cool countryside scenery.
For families who enjoy nature and prefer quieter destinations, Munduk is an excellent part of a Bali itinerary.
The drive from Ubud to Munduk also allowed the family to see more of Bali’s countryside and experience a different side of the island.
From Munduk to Lovina
After two nights in Munduk, the family continued their journey to Lovina, located on Bali’s northern coast.
I drove them from Munduk to 1000 Dream Bungalow, their accommodation for one night.
Lovina is known for its relaxed coastal atmosphere and beautiful northern Bali scenery.
For families traveling around Bali, Lovina is also a convenient destination to experience the quieter northern part of the island away from the busier tourist areas.
From Lovina to Amed
The next stage of their journey took the family from Lovina to Amed, located in eastern Bali.
I drove them to Villa Bukit Malas, where they stayed for three nights.
Amed is famous for its peaceful coastal environment, traditional fishing villages, beautiful ocean views, and marine activities.
After visiting the central and northern parts of Bali, their three-night stay in Amed gave them plenty of time to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of eastern Bali.
Exploring Different Parts of Bali
One of the advantages of a multi-day private Bali tour is that travelers can experience several different regions during one holiday.
This family’s route included:

Amed to Sanur Port for Nusa Lembongan
After three nights in Amed, the family continued their journey to Sanur Port.
They were going to Nusa Lembongan for three nights and planned to travel by boat with Dream Sea Express.
I drove the family from Amed to Sanur Port and helped them with their luggage before they continued their journey by boat.
For families with children and luggage, having private transportation to the port can make the transfer much easier.
Once they were ready for their boat journey, they continued from Sanur to Nusa Lembongan.
Three Nights in Nusa Lembongan
The family spent three nights in Nusa Lembongan.
This part of their holiday gave them the opportunity to enjoy island life and take a break from traveling by car.
Nusa Lembongan is well known for its beautiful coastline, tropical scenery, clear waters, and relaxed atmosphere.
After several days exploring Bali by road, spending time on the island was a great way for the family to enjoy a different side of their holiday.
Picking Up the Family from Sanur Port
After three nights in Nusa Lembongan, the family returned by boat to Sanur.
I picked them up again at Sanur Port and continued their private transportation service.
From the port, I drove them to The Alantara Sanur, where they stayed for two nights.
Having the same private driver meet them again at the port meant they could continue their journey smoothly without having to search for another transportation service.
Two Nights at The Alantara Sanur
Sanur was the final destination of their Bali holiday.
The family stayed at The Alantara Sanur for two nights before their flight back to Paris.
Sanur is a convenient location for the final part of a Bali trip because it offers a relaxed coastal atmosphere while also providing convenient access to the airport.
After traveling through several regions of Bali, the family could enjoy their final days at a more relaxed pace before their international flight.
A Relaxing End to Their Bali Holiday
The family’s journey had taken them across different parts of Bali and Nusa Lembongan.
From the cultural and natural surroundings of Ubud, the mountain atmosphere of Munduk, the northern coast of Lovina, the beaches of Amed, and the island environment of Nusa Lembongan, they experienced many different sides of Bali.
Final Airport Transfer Back to Paris
After approximately 12 days of traveling around Bali, it was time for the family to return home to Paris.
Their international flight was scheduled for 7:00 PM.
I picked them up from The Alantara Sanur and drove them to Ngurah Rai International Airport for their flight.
I was happy to assist them with their final transfer and luggage before saying goodbye at the airport.
For me, becoming a family’s private driver for several days is not only about driving. It is also about helping guests feel comfortable, safe, and supported during their time in Bali.
